Installing phpMyAdmin Application Pack

This article is for phpMYAdmin version 1.0.1.2 and PHP hosting package customers

phpMyAdmin is an administration tool design to support MySQL databases. The tool is complied as an application pack to assist the user to install the phpMyAdmin system in their website.

Before we being you must have the following features enabled / created in your account.

1.)    PHP 5 Extensions

2.)    mySQL Database name, username and password

Let's get started

1.)    Log into the Helm 4 control pane. http://cp.habesha.net or http://cp.yourdomain.com

2.)    Once logged in navigate to the ‘Domains’ icon or use the Helm Navigation

3.)    Select the domain you wish to installation phpMyADmin

4.)    Select the ‘Application Packs’ Icon or use the Helm Navigation

5.)    Select phpMyAdmin

6.)    You are now presented with a form to complete. The following details must be entered

a.       Install Directory: dbadmin

b.      Virtual Directory: dbadmin

c.       MYSQL Server Address: saturn.habesha.net

d.      Administrator Username: mydbusername

e.      Administrator Password: mydbpassword

f.        MYSQL Port: 3306 (standard)

g.       History: left blank

Notes

Make sure the install directory and virtual directory fields are completed and match correctly

7.)    Press the install button and your completed

To access the phpMyAdmin administration website you must browse the directory you install it into. For the above example it would be something like http://www.mydomain.com/dbadmin/ . Once the interface has loaded you must enter the DB username and DB password to log in.
